Cole Park Beach
Cole Park Beach is one of the prettiest as well as one of the dirtiest beaches in Texas. The playgrounds and beautiful green grass don’t make up for the fact that 38% of the samples taken here have tested too high for pollutants. Families can still enjoy the beauty and the facilities, but they can rarely enjoy water contact due to unsafe levels of bacteria.
Cole Park Pier is a perfect place to fish, even if you cannot swim. Just take precautions against water contact when the bacteria levels are high. Cole Park Beach is a dog friendly beach, as long as the pets are leashed. But the scare of high bacteria levels keeps many pet owners away from the water.
